Heather McQueen Jones | Charleston, SC
Art began as therapy for Heather.  She simply began by sitting with her son on her lap and painted dinosaurs for his room while pregnant with her daughter.  Grieving the loss of her sister and her dad as both died suddenly. In art, she found calm from the worry and anxiousness.  She continued painting more and then began taking classes and workshops in the pauses between parenting and working an advertising career.
Her passion for painting grew under the instruction of an amazing teacher and artist, Elizabeth Bronson.  Gradually moving further from advertising, she remained disciplined in her art through workshops and years later she remains disciplined in her classes, art study and daily practice.
She had years of therapy and feels learning something new every day is engergizing. Challenging herself to take her art to the next level and changing careers had been transformative for her.  During Covid she learned that her clients really want to create a sanctuary in their home.  She gains such gratitude in working with clients to create art that brings joy or calm to their space.  She is grateful to have the opportunities to work with people who are looking for a meaningful works of art in their daily life.![]()
